Financial Services

Physical AI is arriving in financial services through autonomous inspection systems, AI-driven fraud detection, and - most immediately - the deepfake identity threat. The $25 million Arup CFO fraud was executed via a single deepfake video call. Every financial institution that conducts video-based client authentication, board meetings, or executive approvals is operating in the same threat environment. The psychological signal compounds this: financial services professionals in analysis and operations roles are showing elevated AI anxiety. The sector that automated the fastest is now carrying the highest psychological cost.

Action for this week: Your video-based authentication and executive communication protocols need an identity assurance layer added now - before an incident, not after. Contact your security team and ask specifically what protocol exists for verifying that a video call participant is a live, genuine human.


Healthcare
